Chief Accountant

RK People Advisory is recruiting a Chief Accountant on behalf of their client based in Kingston. This role involves overseeing accounting activities, managing financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and internal controls within an organization, specifically focusing on inventory-intensive environments.

Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual close processes. Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports. Oversee day-to-day accounting activities across the Accounts Department. Oversee inventory accounting and reconciliation processes. Review inventory adjustments, write-offs and stock variances. Monitor compliance with financial policies and internal controls. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Professional qualification in ACCA, CPA or ACA preferred. Minimum seven years progressive accounting experience. Minimum three years in a supervisory role. Experience in inventory intensive environments preferred.
