Director, Public Procurement (GMG/SEG 4)

The Jamaica Constabulary Force, Human Resource Division is seeking a Director, Public Procurement for the Corporate & Special Services – Public Procurement Branch of the Police Department. The job holder operates under the direction of the Director, Human Resource Management & Development and is responsible for providing strategic leadership that will facilitate the smooth progression of operations for the Department in accordance with Government of Jamaica (GOJ) Public Procurement Act 2018 and attendant Public Procurement Regulations 2018.

Directing and managing public procurement activities, ensuring compliance with the GOJ Public Procurement Act 2018.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management studies, public administration, economics, accounts or equivalent qualification; Minimum five (5) years related work experience in procurement/tendering; Knowledge of the Public Procurement Act 2018 and regulations; Certification in Public Procurement, INP Level 4 or Level 3 or INPB Level 4 and above; Or a master’s degree in Public Procurement Policies and guidelines would be a distinct asset; Effective verbal and written communication skills.
