Manager, Testing and Industrial Services (Level 9)

The Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ), an agency of the Ministry of Industry Investment and Commerce, is seeking to identify suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Manager, Testing & Industrial Services (Level 9) within the Testing and Industries Services Branch. The Manager, Testing & Industrial Services, plans, co-ordinates, controls and provides technical support and leadership to the activities in order to meet Divisional objectives. The main objective of the Metrology & Testing Division is to provide appropriate measuring, testing services, approval of new building systems according to the national building code to external and internal clients and to facilitate the development and review of standards specifications by participating in the work of national, regional and international Technical Committees.

Plans, coordinates, controls and provides technical support and leadership to divisional activities; ensures divisional objectives are met; facilitates development and review of standards specifications; participates in national, regional, and international technical committees.
