About the Role
Carlisa Enterprises Ltd. is hiring a Warehouse Attendant based in Montego Bay. This role involves assisting with the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring goods are handled, stored, and managed efficiently. Candidates will be responsible for the physical handling of stock, maintaining accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing deliveries, and upholding warehouse safety and hygiene standards. The position requires a candidate comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment and one who can work collaboratively as part of a team. Previous experience in warehouse or logistics roles is preferred but not required, and there is a need to be able to operate essential equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts.
Responsibilities
Assist in unloading trucks and containers, ensuring that goods are correctly handled, inspected, and stored. Ensure incoming deliveries are accurately documented and checked against delivery orders for discrepancies. Assist in locating, organising, and stocking inventory in designated warehouse areas. Pick and prepare stock for customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfilment. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working environment in the warehouse, following company standards for organisation and hygiene. Assist in cleaning and organising the warehouse regularly to ensure an efficient workspace. Participate in quarterly and annual stocktaking activities, assisting with counting, recording, and reconciling inventory. Help investigate any inventory discrepancies discovered during stocktakes or routine operations. Follow all health and safety regulations and procedures while working in the warehouse. Load trucks and containers for outgoing deliveries, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods to prevent damage during transportation. Support warehouse staff in daily tasks and take the initiative to assist wherever needed.
Requirements
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, focusing on accuracy in inventory handling. Physical ability to lift, move, and handle goods as part of daily tasks. Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team. Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures. Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Good communication skills for working with supervisors and team members. High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory management role is preferred but not required. Ability to operate essential warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (certification is a plus but not mandatory).
